As an IU fan, this was a sad way for my Hoosiers to end the season. However, they had one hell of a run this year. In fact, nobody even expected they would even make it to the tournament this year. Everything changed when Christian Watford hit that amazing buzzer-beater to beat Kentucky at the start of college basketball season.

Today, Kentuky got it's revenge as they were able to knock off the Hoosiers in the Sweet 16, 102-90. It was the most points allowed by Indiana in the tournament ever, since the Wildcats had so many weapons in Anthony Davis, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, Doron Lamb, and many others.

Towards the end of the game, all they were doing were hitting free throws, and they could not miss a single one, which was the big part of them getting the victory as they advance to the Elite Eight part of the tourney.

"It was a war and Indiana played great," Kentucky coach John Calipari said. "We just happened to play a little bit better."

Kidd-Gilchrist led the Wildcats with 24 points while Lamb contributed 21. Marquis Teague had 14 points while Terrence Jones produced twelve.

For the Hoosiers, they were led by Christian Watford, who tallied up 27 points. Cody Zeller was not much far behind, with 20.

"There's a lot of good things that have happened," IU coach, Tom Crean said. "This team has a lot of tremendous character, there's no doubt about that."

Kentucky will face Baylor next.

"We scored 90 points," Crean said. "They're a really good team. They've got a lot of guys. They've got a guy coming off the bench (Miller) who's going to be a first-round draft pick."

The game was clinched with about 30 seconds left after a missed jumper by IU. After that, there was no point in fouling anymore. They may have lost, but now they got experience with the squad.

But there is one thing we know for sure.

IU is back.

And for Kentucky? Their run to the National Championship continues.
