Even though we reported last Thursday that the Steelers will most likely be able to keep Mike Wallace, they may be without him for much of the off-season.

According to Adam Schefter, the Steelers wide receiver is prepared to sit out of off-season workouts along with training camp unless if he gets his contract. Wallace won't sign unless if he has to:
Wallace told some within the Steelers organization that he does not plan to sign his first-round tender "until he has to," according to a source. This means that Wallace could wind up holding out for some or all of training camp.

Wallace has until June 15th to sign the $2.7 million first-round tender until it goes down to $577,500, in which he is unhappy with.

Wallace had a career season last year, having 72 catches for 1,193 yards and eight touchdowns.
