It was kind of a surprising decision last year when Jerry Sloan resigned as the Utah Jazz head coach, after being there for so long.

After a year with a break from coaching, the legendary coach is going back into the game as he plans coach in the NBA again.

Rumor has it that Sloan is meeting with Charlotte Bobcats owner Michael Jordan to coach the squad. Jordan has some ties with Sloan, especially as a player when his Chicago Bulls knocked off Sloan's Jazz twice in the Finals.

Now both plan to be partners.

According to The Salt Lake Tribune:

Former Utah Jazz coach Jerry Sloan is interested in a return to the NBA.

Sloan told The Salt Lake Tribune on Tuesday that he has talked to Charlotte owner Michael Jordan about the Bobcats’ job and could meet with him as early as this week.

The Bobcats had probably the worst NBA season of all-time, having only seven victories and the worst win-percentage ever.

Looking to rebound and make it back to the playoffs like two years ago, Sloan seems like the right choice for the job to turn this struggling squad around.
