After talking for much of the season now, Indiana and Kentucky could not come through with a deal. With this, the series will now be coming to a sad end.

The series had been going since 1969 until Kentucky said today they wanted the games to be played in a different place other than Assembly Hall.

They even suggested Lucas Oil Stadium.

"In the final analysis, we want our student-athletes, our overall student body and our season-ticket holders to enjoy this series at Assembly Hall," IU athletic director Fred Glass said.

It's sad that it has come to this.

Kentucky wanted the money.

IU just wanted tradition.
