He finished his 23-year-career with 2,434 points and 538 field goals, second in NFL history.
His son, Austin, was recently given an invite to the Indianapolis Colts rookie minicamp. The 23-year-old played at McGill University in Montreal.
“I’m really excited to be given the opportunity,” he told the Indianapolis Star. “If it goes well and they like what they see, hopefully I can be invited back for training camp.”
We don't know if Anderson can actually make the team roster or not, considering the fact that Adam Vinatieri is still on board. However, the Colts are still in their rebuilding stage and if Anderson proves otherwise, he could be starting and can be as great as his father once was.
“I told him this morning and I enjoyed watching his dad kick for all of those years,” head coach Chuck Pagano said. “That was a pleasure.”
