Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Mike Wallace gambled and he lost this round in his attempt to get a long-term deal done. The only thing Wallace did accomplish was having the opportunity to sit out two-a-days.

NFL.com is reporting that the disgruntled wide receiver will report to Steelers camp and sign his restricted free agent tender this weekend, according to his teammates.

Wallace will make a paltry $2.74 million this season, which is beyond low for a player of his talents. The Steelers inked his running mate, Antonio Brown, to a five-year $42.5 million deal during the stalemate.

No one can predict what kind of mood he’ll be in this weekend when he returns. His best bet, in my opinion, is to ball out again and then either get franchised next season or get the long-term deal he’s long been seeking for.
