San Francisco 49ers kicker David Akers tied an NFL record for the longest field-goal in history, as hit a 63-yarder to end the first half in the team's season-opening game versus the Green Bay Packers.

The record has been tied many times, however no one has gotten towards getting the big 64 yet.

Akers' kick would barely get in, hitting the crossbar to get in to put the Niners up 16-7 heading into halftime.
