Many fans of the Los Angeles Lakers were pissed off last season when owner David Stern vetoed a trade that would send point guard Chris Paul to the team.

However, with Stern as the owner of the New Orleans Hornets at the time with the team looking for a new owner to purchase the team, he had the right to do what he did.

Paul would later write "Wow," on Twitter following the announcement of the trade being vetoed.

However, Paul wanted to play for the other Los Angeles team in the first place, the Clippers. Yes, CP3 wanted to play for the Clippers all along and he got his wish a little later after the vetoed trade.

"They had the better pieces," Paul told Arash Markazi of ESPN Los Angeles. "And winning with the Clippers would be legendary."

Paul ended up doing wonders for the franchise who was always known for their losing ways. Last season, they were able to make it to the second round of the playoffs and they look to go even farther this year with a much deeper roster.

We'll see if Paul's decision with the Clips ends up paying dividends as he looks to bring the team home a championship.
