Eureka College, a Division III school in Illinois, quarterback Sam Durley broke the NCAA passing record Saturday, throwing for 736 yards in a game with a come-from-behind 62-55 victory over Knox.

Durley, a senior, went 34-of-52 along with five touchdowns for the game. His record tops another Division III quarterback who previously held the record: Menlo College's Zamir Amin, who had 731 yards back in 2000.

Durley had two touchdowns in the final two minutes of the game, helping the Red Devils go on a 17-0 run. His record-breaking pass came on a 13-yard touchdown to Jake Bane.

Along with the record, Durley broke school records that day with all-time passing yards (6,095), attempts (792) and touchdowns (48). The school in all also broke their previous record of 744 yards to 821.

Just what an accomplishment for Durley, or anyone, no matter what division-school it is.
