We reported Saturday that it is possible that Isiah Thomas could return to the New York Knicks after meeting with team owner James Dolan in a hotel business meeting Friday morning.

According to reports, it is true: Thomas and Dolan were working towards bringing him back to the franchise.

Thomas has been wanting to return to the Knicks franchise ever since being fired as the head coach of the FIU basketball team.

It was also suspicious after Dolan fired MSG sports president Scott O'Neill after telling Dolan that re-hiring Thomas would not be a good idea. A source tells Frank Isola of the New York Daily News says that Thomas will return, but is hesitant for right now.

“Isiah is very close with Jim Dolan but he’s told me that he’s not ready to jump back into the NBA just yet,” the source says. “There’s this perception out there that Isiah is desperate to get back, but that’s false. I think it will eventually happen but just not now.”

Get ready, Knicks fans.
