Steve Mitchell-US PRESSWIRE
Miami Dolphins quarterback David Garrad returned to practice Monday not knowing it would probably be his last with the team.

Garrard just returned from having arthroscopic knee surgery three weeks ago.

"Just got a text from David Garrard that he is being released from Fins today," Jay Glazer of Fox Sports reports.

Garrard who admitted he rushed back, released his own statement via the Miami Herald.

“They didn’t want me to, and I didn’t feel like I was quite ready to move with guys flying around me,” Garrard said. “But I feel good. I know I’m not quite exactly where I want to be, but it felt good just being back out there, realizing I can still drop and do all of those things.”

With the quarterback issues that teams are having, case in point the Arizona Cardinals, Garrard shouldn’t be out of work for long.
