Amar'e Stoudemire has not participated in any team activities since October 19 with a ruptured cyst in his left knee. The New York Knicks star consulted Dr. Thomas Carter for a second opinion on the injured knee, after Knicks training staff had revealed he would miss 2-3 weeks.

Knicks fans have eagerly waited for further results and you can finally exhale as no further damage was found in Stoudemire's knees.

The Knicks had originally said that Amar'e will miss the first 2-3 weeks of the season but it is likelier to be around a 4-5 week absence, instead. The results are good news, however, because we all know the history Stoudemire has had in the past with chronic knee problems and that it could have been worse.

Knicks fans will have to patiently wait for Stoudemire to return to their lineup, but, at least on Sunday night, they received good news on the former All-Star.
