I guess it helps that Jameis Winston has Ronald Darby as a witness in his Uber groping case, but in another sense, it makes you nervous that the Philadelphia Eagles cornerback has been with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback both times he’s been accused of violating a woman sexually.

Darby said Sunday morning that he was in the car with Winston on the night the Bucs star was accused of groping an Uber driver, and said Winston did not do anything wrong.
“I felt the need to come forward and clarify some inaccurate accounts of the evening of March 13, 2016, when myself, a friend and Jameis Winston took an Uber ride in Arizona. There were three of us in the car, not just one as has been reported. Myself and Jameis were in the backseat. I am confident that nothing inappropriate in nature happened in the car that evening and Jameis did not have any physical contact with the Uber driver. The accusations are just not true.”
The driver told BuzzFeed News that the incident with Winston took place at around 2 a.m. on March 13, 2016, in Scottsdale, Arizona after Winston asked her to stop at a drive-thru restaurant.

It was there that Winston allegedly reached over and “grabbed” her crotch for three-to-five seconds, only stopping when she said something.

Winston, for his part, denied any wrongdoing, releasing a statement saying that the driver was confused as to the number of passengers in the car and who was sitting next to her. The driver reportedly never filed a report with the Scottsdale Police Department, per ESPN.
