Packers' QB Aaron Rodgers Stands By Pro Bowl Comments

The Pro Bowl is slowly dying year-after-year with players getting lazier and lazier in each game.

With NFL commissioner Roger Goodell almost taking away the Pro Bowl, the players insisted to keep it and that they will play harder next time around.

With that, we'll have another Pro Bowl. However, if it's just as worse as they few previous ones, it could be gone for good after next year.

Aaron Rodgers did not like how the players did last time and complained after the Pro Bowl took place. With the latest news of the event returning, the Green Bay Packers quarterback still stands by his comments.

“After the Pro Bowl experience, the things that happened at the hotel, during the week and then in the game, I just thought was so disappointing,” Rodgers told The Green Bay Press-Gazette. “Not only myself, the coaching staff that we brought, but to the fans. I mean, I’m sitting there, I bought six tickets as well so I have six people in the stands watching me in the game and I felt I was embarrassed for them so I just felt like it was the right time to say something like that.”

2012 NBA Off-Season Rumors: Suns to Look to Pitch to Deron Williams by Golfing

It seems likely that Steve Nash will be leaving the Phoenix Suns this off-season for a legit title-contender. With that, the Suns are looking to go after another point guard to fill in for him.

According to The New York Daily News, it seems that guy will be Deron Williams. And their main pitch will be...golf.

“If they lose Steve, then they plan to go after Deron, hard,” said a person with knowledge of the Suns’ plans. “They know he loves golf and they’re going to try to sell him on going out there.”

Golf? Really? GOLF!

Come on, just doing that will not entice D-Will, especially if you want him on a team like the Suns. No way he is even going to Phoenix.

But hey, at least they're getting a nice round in. This all kind of reminds me of Thurnis Haley:

Anyways, Williams' main options are either re-signing with the Nets, heading to the Lakers, or maybe signing with the Mavericks or Pacers. Him having the Suns as his options doesn't seem likely.

A round of golf? Maybe.

2012 French Open: Caroline Woniacki Gets In Heated Exchange with Chair Umpire (Video)

During Caroline Wozniacki's loss to Kaia Kanepi in the French Open Saturday, she became very upset with the chair umpire in the second set.

One of Kanepi's shots was ruled in during the second set. After the ruling, Wozniacki was clearly unhappy with it and decided to complain to the chair umpire. She went as a far as to say, "Have you ever been to school?"

Here was the exact transcript of how it went down (via Busted Racquet):

"You can not just sit there and be so arrogant. How can you see those balls there when the ball is like this out? It's not touching the line. If we had Hawk-Eye you would be so freaking embarrassed right now. So embarrassed, especially when you can see the mark. Have you been to school? Can I ask you, have you gone to school? You have gone to school, so you know that this [holds up fingers closely together] is out. It's not so difficult."

2012 NBA Playoffs: Thunder Fans Mock Lil Wayne During Game 4 with Bag (Photo)

Lil Wayne recently claimed that he feels unwanted in Oklahoma City, along with saying that he was denied tickets for Game 3 of the Thunder-Spurs series.

With Weezy's complaints, Kevin Durant and James Harden offered to give him tickets for Game 4; however, he denied it. With that, there was no Tunechi courtside during the Thunder's 109-103 victory Saturday night.

Thunder fans took their approach to the news, as almost all of them had these bags saying "Lil Wayne Is In Here."

Gotta love it.

2012 NBA Playoffs: Serge Ibaka Goes "Dr. J Mode," Dunks On Tim Duncan (Video)

It was a night to remember for Serge Ibaka.

The Oklahoma City Thunder big man played flawless in the team's 109-103 victory over the San Antonio Spurs, tying up the series at two-apiece in the Western Conference Finals.

Ibaka had 26 points, going 11-of-11 from the field, along with nine rebounds and three blocks.

Along with that, Ibaka made a solid cuff-dunk on Tim Duncan in the third quarter, giving old images of Julis "Dr. J" Erving.

2012 NBA Off-Season Rumors: Golden State Warriors Targeting Iguodala, Granger, Gay, etc.

The Golden State Warriors seem to be very interested in several players this off-season to help build around point guard Stephen Curry.

According to The Contra Costa Times, they have been interested in such players like Andre Iguodala, Danny Granger, Rudy Gay, and more.

Golden State has long since had interest in Philadelphia’s Andre Iguodala, who is exactly the playmaking athlete the Warriors need at small forward. Other small forwards high on their list, according to league sources, are Portland’s Nick Batum, Indiana’s Danny Granger and Memphis’ Rudy Gay. And don’t be surprised if the Warriors make a play for Atlanta forward Josh Smith.

Trading the No. 7 pick for a veteran wouldn’t rule out the Warriors’ filling a need with a rookie from this year’s draft. The Warriors could potentially move up using their other three picks and have a shot at Illinois center Meyers Leonard, St. Bonaventure power forward Andrew Nicholson or maybe even Kentucky’s Jones (who some mocks have falling out of the lottery).

It looks like it will be tough for Golden State to go after any of these guys in a trade. A likely scenario would be for Nicolas Batum. I think they would rather go after someone in the draft instead.

Jason Babin Won't Be Running with the Bulls After All

Jason Babin had many folks that are apart of the Philadelphia Eagles organization worried when he said that he would be attending the "Running with the Bulls" event held in Spain.

Known to be a dangerous event, it scared many folks on the Eagles, including Michael Vick, who plead to Babin not to take part in it.

However, according to The Wilmington News, it was never a serious consideration for him.

So he won't be running with the bulls after all.

“I’m not sure what you guys are talking about,” said Babin, playing dumb. “I’m a little confused. I’m not a big basketball fan but growing up I was a Bulls fan. I’m confused. I have a lot of bulls on my farm in Texas.”

Babin also says he doesn't have a passport to go to Spain anyways.

Looks like the Eagles can breathe a sigh of relief.

DeAngelo Hall Is Looking to Be the Next Charles Woodson Now

DeAngelo Hall always yaps his mouth and is never afraid to speak his mind. With Raheem Morris in to help the secondary with the Washington Redskins, he plans to change the role of Hall as more as getting towards the football often.

And then it leads to Hall looking to be the next Charles Woodson....

“You don’t ever see [Woodson] running down the field not looking for the ball,” he told the Washington Post. “He’s always underneath, blitzing, having some type of zone coverage underneath so he can see the ball, using instinctive football ability under there. And that’s kind of what we’re doing.”

Woodson is a pretty good corner and has shown to be a solid tackler for his position. With the new role he is heading into, it could help him.

“[Woodson] got defensive player of the year [covering slot receivers], so hopefully I can get that same kind of buzz and excitement out there, making plays,” Hall suggested. “I’m definitely relishing the opportunity to get in there. It’s hard, it’s different, but I’m down. It’s a lot more space. …

“It definitely is a little bit different, but it’s part of the evolution.”

Mike Tolbert Took Less Money with the Panthers to Raise Family in the South

For many, it seemed like a very puzzling decision by running back Mike Tolbert to sign with the Carolina Panthers.

For one, he took less money than the San Diego Chargers were offering. Also, the Panthers already have Jonathan Stewart and DeAngelo Williams on board.

So why did he do it?

Because it's the South, and that is where he used to live.

He tells The Washington Post:

“I just wanted to raise my daughter in the South,” Tolbert said. “I just think this is a better place to raise a family. It was time for a change, and I just think first of all the South is a better place to raise a family.”

Tolbert also says it easier for him as the scheme fits for him. Along with that, he re-unites with head coach Ron Rivera and offensive coordinator Rob Chudzinski, both who used to work with Tolbert as coaches in San Diego.

Tolbert had 490 yards and eight touchdowns last season with the Chargers.

Eddie George's House Is Up for Foreclosure Auction; He Didn't Even Know

Eddie George used to be one hell of a running back. Now retired, George is just living the life.

However, his home isn't doing so well. Bought in 2007 for over $1 million, George's house is now up for foreclosure auction at about $1 million after he deliberately missed payments.

And he didn't even know.

From The Tennessean:

“I was on the phone (Thursday) with IndyMac and was not told our loan was in immediate foreclosure, nor have we received any additional information from the lender indicating such,” Larry Goodman, George’s accountant said. “The loan modification process in our country is difficult at best, and this is another example of it. … We’re not trying to walk away from anything. They love living there, it’s a great house. Like anybody else who buys an expensive house, it flipped on him.”

According to report, George is financially stable, so he isn't like other athletes who have gone broke.

2012 NBA Playoffs: Chris Bosh Won't Play Game 4 Against Celtics

The Miami Heat have shown a lot of weakness down low since Chris Bosh injured his abdomen in Game 1 against the Indiana Pacers in the Eastern Conference Semifinals.

Ever since Game 4 against Indiana, the Heat have been on fire, taking over every game until Game 3 on Friday night, where they lost 101-91 to the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference Finals.

Miami showed weakness down low and are really hoping to have Bosh in sometime in the series. However, you can rule him out for the upcoming Game 4, as the Heat announced he won't play in it.

Reports Michael Wallace of ESPN:

Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said Saturday that Bosh won't play Sunday and reiterated the All-Star forward has not yet advanced far enough in his recovery from an abdominal strain to gauge when he might be available for game action.

"I'm not thinking about Chris today -- I'm not," Spoelstra said before the Heat's practice at TD Garden. "He's not on my mind. And I love you, Chris, but I'm focused on Sunday. That's where all of my energies are focused right now."

Miami currently leads the series, 2-1.

Trail Blazers' LaMarcus Aldridge Was Hospitalized with Deadly Blood Virus

LaMarcus Aldridge is one of the next stars on the Portland Trail Blazers who had a season-ending injury due to knees.

It has happened to Brandon Roy and Greg Oden.

Aldridge looks to rebound and end the Blazers curse. However, this past week, Aldridge was in a scary moment, having a deadly blood virus.

He writes in his blog:

This past week was a very scary one for me. On Saturday I came down with a blood virus. I quickly became sick and had to be rushed to the hospital. I thought it was a case of bad food or a bad cold, but I was wrong. It turned out to be a very serious virus that if not treated quickly could actually be deadly! One thing I know for sure is that I’ve never felt worse in my life and there were times I wasn’t really sure where I was going. Thankfully I had a lot of family support and great medical care that helped me fight through it and now I’ve turned the corner and I’m feeling much better.

Really scary hearing things like this. Glad to see Alridge is okay. Prayers out to him.

Jack Del Rio: Von Miller Is Like Peter Boulware

Jack Del Rio is now in as the new defensive coordinator for the Denver Broncos. Del Rio likes how Von Miller has played and thinks he is a stud. Whenever Del Rio sees Miller, he thinks of former Baltimore Ravens' pass-rusher Peter Boulware.

“So Peter Boulware is the guy that comes to mind,” Del Rio said, per Jeff Legwold of the Denver Post (via PFT). “Von’s going to be a very productive player for a long time.”

Although Boulware only played for eight years, he racked up 70 sacks for his career, which is pretty dang good. Del Rio used to be Boulware's position coach, making him have his career year in 2001, where he had 15 sacks.

Miller looks to be in the NFL longer than Boulware and may even exceed expectations of him as well. Judging by things right now, he looks to have a stronger career and could go down as one of the bests.

Michael Vick: I Think Critics Are Taking Personal Shots at Me

Michael Vick received a lot of criticism this past season, slumping to a not-so-good season filled with injuries and struggles after playing amazing in 2010.

According to the Reading Eagle, Vick responded to critics, also thinking that they have been using personal shots against him as well.

“[A]t some point I probably feel like it’s personal shots being directed towards me for holding the ball too long and certain things when that’s not the case."

However, Vick still lived up to the criticism and took responsibility of it.

“I accept the responsibility for everything,” Vick said. “I feel like my sole responsibility is this team. We’re going to go as I go. If I’m not on the field, then I’m not helping this team in any shape, form or fashion.

“The turnovers, that’s my responsibility. That’s my responsibility to orchestrate the offense and make sure the team is well put together and suited and ready to play on Sundays. I understand the responsibility and the role that comes along with being a quarterback, and I accept it. Sometimes I just don’t accept people saying things and really not knowing what they’re talking about.”

Vick has struggled since he got his big $100 million contract before the year began, and didn't necessarily helped people on their Fantasy Football Depth Chart during fantasy football season.

He played 13 games last season, going 7-6. He also threw for 3,303 yards along with 18 touchdowns and 14 interceptions, finishing with a 84.9 rating.

Vick looks to find a rebound year heading into the upcoming season.

2012 NBA Playoffs: Lil Wayne Says He Is "Unwanted" in Oklahoma City

Lil Wayne hasn't been receiving much love lately. Ever since his album Tha Carter IV came out, many have complained he has been on decline. And it shows.

He was recently dissed by rapper Pusha T. Weezy tried to make a diss back, but it was very unsuccessful.

Then before Game 3 of the Oklahoma City Thunder's 102-82 victory over the San Antonio Spurs, Wayne claimed he was "denied" tickets to the game.

Wayne is an avid NBA fan and is always seen courtside at games in Los Angeles and Miami. However, the Thunder say that they didn't have any tickets available.

According to Fox Sports, Wayne says he has this guy named Mike who always gets him the tickets. They had everything set but a manager came and advised Wayne not to return to the arena for games, concerts, etc.

Wayne is obviously not very happy at all with the situation. Kevin Durant and James Harden even offered him tickets for Game 4, but Wayne refused.

''That's not the point, though,'' he told The Associated Press in an interview Friday night. ''It's the players stepping up but of course the players aren't white. I don't want to be sitting there on behalf of you and I'm sitting next to a (person) that's like `I don't want this (guy) sitting next to me.' (Forget) you ... I'm in Forbes,'' he said, laughing.

Wayne says he has never had this happen to before, since he has always felt welcomed in other arenas such as Miami and LA.

''That's like me going on stage and ... seeing LeBron (James) in the crowd with his hand up. I'm going to perform a little bit harder,'' he said.

But in Oklahoma, he said that while ''the players want me there, I don't want to feel - I'm going to still feel unwanted.''

Hungarian Looks to Run 50 Marathons in 50 Days

It isn't easy running a full marathon sometimes. Or even 50 of them. Or especially 50 in 50 days.

However, that is exactly what Hungarian runner Norman Varga is going to do.

According to NBC Sports, Varga will run the length of 50 marathons in 50 days and arrive in London just in time for the opening ceremonies of the upcoming Olympics.

Varga, 25, was a cage fighter. At 16, he had to get his arm reattached after being pushed under a tram.

He will cover some 2,000 kilometers (1,240 miles) from Budapest to London to draw attention to the importance of supporting young people.

Varga runs a foundation in his native Budapest district of Csepel dedicated to helping youth develop a healthy lifestyle and support their goals in education, science and art.

Varga's journey began Saturday. It will take him to Slovakia, Austria, Germany, France, Luxembourg, Belgium and the Netherlands before reaching London on July 27.

Football Rumors: Could Terrell Owens Sue the Allen Wranglers?

Terrell Owens can't seem to find a place home, even in the Indoor Football League. Owens was recently cut by the IFL's Allen Wranglers, along with also losing out in a stake with the team's ownership.

According to TMZ (via Pro Football Talk), however, T.O. could be filing a lawsuit against the team.

Owens apparently is unhappy that the team criticized him for failing to show up for an event at a children’s hospital, calling it the “straw that broke the camel’s back.”

“Mr. Owens’ legal team is addressing the details of the Wranglers release statement,” a representative for Owens told TMZ, adding that T.O. “played all games according to his contractual agreement and was proud to be part of the IFL and the Allen Wranglers."

2012 NBA Off-Season Rumors: Brandon Roy Making a Comeback? Could Head to the Lakers?

Brandon Roy's career tragically ended before the 2012 lockout-shortened season started. After many problems with his knees, Roy decided to call it quits.

Now with the NBA Finals coming up soon and the off-season in full swing, the former Portland Trail Blazers star guard could be making a comeback.

According to a tweet made by ESPN's Chris Palmer, Roy could be back next year.

The Los Angeles Lakers are believed to be a suitor if Roy does in fact make a comeback. The Lakers are in need of a helpful swingman next to Kobe Bryant. The Lakers have been in rumors to get Andre Iguodala, but a trade for him seems unlikely.

Roy is 28 years old and still can have a lot of time left in the league if he plays again. However, the big question is if his knees are up to the task of holding up? It seemed like a given that Roy was going to make a comeback, and now he is finally here.

A year off for him is most probably beneficial for him. Best of luck to Brandon on his comeback.

Allen Iverson Claims That His Ex-Wife Robbed His House

Allen Iverson's relationship with his ex-wife, Tawanna, hasn't gone so smoothly at all.

With the two going into a divorce, Tawanna went as far to file a restraining order on the NBA All-Star along with trying to make him reveal all the women he has cheated with on her.

According to TMZ, A.I. has responded that his ex-wife robbed his home:

A.I. recently filed a motion for contempt in Georgia against his estranged wife Tawanna Iverson, claiming he had a basketball gig in Asia earlier this month ... and when he returned home, his house was totally gutted. According to the docs, Iverson's wife infiltrated his home while he was gone -- pillaging furniture, art, memorabilia ... and a large sum of cash.

Vanderbilt Coach: I Look at Assistants' Wives Before Hiring Them

James Franklin wasn't afraid to speak his mind on with Clay Travis on 104.5 The Zone on Wednesday.

The Vanderbilt head coach said that he were to hire an assistant, he would have to look at their wife also, as it plays a factor. I'm honestly not even sure if he's serious or not about it.

"I've been saying it for a long time, I will not hire an assistant until I see his wife. If she looks the part and she's a D1 recruit, then you got a chance to get hired. That's part of the deal. There's a very strong correlation between having the confidence, going up and talking to a woman, and being quick on your feet and having some personality and confidence and being articulate and confident, than it is walking into a high school and recruiting a kid and selling him."

Usually when there is a site for a professional sports team, typing the city and name together in the address bar followed by a ".com" always leads to their site. However, for some, it's not the case.

One of those teams are the Charlotte Bobcats. The domain CharlotteBobcats.com has nothing to do with the professional basketball team whatsoever. According to the website, it's some film/art studio that's probably in Charlotte.

Things just can't get worse for the Bobcats, especially when they just lost out on the No. 1 pick in the Draft Lottery Wednesday night.

Marcus Jordan: Tweet to Pornstar Was a Prank

Michael Jordan's son, Marcus, has been receiving a lot of heat lately after he tweeted to a pornstar about giving her money for sex.

Judging by the tweet that was soon deleted after, Jordan probably mean it to be a DM instead. The tweet was an accident.

However, now Jordan is looking to clear his name now, saying it wasn't him and that he wouldn't do anything like that.

He wrote on Twitter:

Jordan just capped off his junior year with the UCF Knights, averaging 14 points per game.

2012 NBA Draft Lottery: Anthony Davis Seen Wearing Hornets Hat Before Lottery

Exactly two weeks before the NBA Draft Lottery, Anthony Davis was seen wearing a Hornets hat. This helps to the conspiracy theory of the Draft Lottey being rigged by David Stern.

The photo came up today by well-known sports blogger, Brad Wolff, who posted it on Facebook. Black Sports Online also picked up on the photo in which they got it from Not Bill Walton.

However, the real story behind the picture originally came from the RealGM.com forums, where they discussed about the Charlotte Bobcats being the Hornets again. It was two weeks ago, which is believed to be when the photo was taken.

On May 14, Terez Owens posted the photo saying that Davis was "picking up chicks." Apparently, it looks like it may be a Kentucky fan who spotted Davis and wanted to take a picture with him. Or it may be a friend.

However, the Hornets hat does show that maybe Davis could have been behind a "scheme" that New Orleans would eventually win the lottery.

Or, he could've worn the Charlotte Hornets hat for specific reasons since it was most likely the Bobcats or Hornets picking him. Or it may just be that he just plain wore it.

There is proof of the lottery being rigged. Last year, the Cavaliers won it after losing LeBron to free agency. This year, the Hornets lost Chris Paul in a trade. Stern also owned the team at the starting of the season. Coincidence?

2012 NBA Draft Lottery: Jonny Flynn Tweets That the Lottery Was Fixed

The NBA Draft Lottery has been criticized since it was created in the league by David Stern almost 30 years ago. Since the very first pick that year, which was Patrick Ewing, it has been criticized for being "rigged."

Last year, conspiracies showed when the Cleveland Cavaliers won the lottery as they were just coming off an awful season where they lost LeBron James.

Wednesday night, the New Orleans Hornets won the No. 1 pick surprisingly over the Charlotte Bobcats. The Hornets also lost out on an important player in Chris Paul. More suspicion came up since the Hornets were also owned by Stern himself at the starting of the year before it was bought by current New Orleans Saints owner, Tom Benson.

Current Portland Trail Blazers point guard Jonny Flynn has been catching on, tweeting that night that that it was fixed.
