He was a really skilled forward who excelled in nearly everything on the court. His intelligence was arguably second to none too. He did make up for his disadvantages with his thinking and was simply on few levels above the rest.

Larry was one of the greatest offensive forces to play the game. He was the top sharp shooter of all time, who could find the bottom of the net from anywhere and had terrific arsenal to score.

He was also arguably the best non guard passer to step on a NBA hardwood. He had a sick court vision, could lead or find his team mates for easy points, was unselfish and took passing into an arm form. He was that good.

Additionally, Bird was a great defender too, who earned three All-Defensive Second Team for his work. He made dozens of clutch plays on this end, and fit well into a team concept of defending.

His versatility is shown best by his triple doubles, of which he has a total of 59. It's the fifth highest total ever. In fact, he basically averaged a triple double during the '86 Finals against Houston when the numbers are circled.

24 points, 9.7 boards and 9.5 assists is an amazing display of complete abilities. Let's not forget that he's also one of the greatest non big men rebounders of all time, with a respectable case for the first spot.

He's a legend who deserves his respect!

2.Earvin "Magic" Johnson

An unique point guard who had the height of a bigger player and brought flash to the league, Magic Johnson was one of the game's most complete players of all time. He excelled out there like few had.

He was the greatest passer to step on a NBA hardwood. His court vision was second to none, as his ability to run the fast brake. He was like a magician with the ball who'd throw flashy and accurate passes to his team mates for easy points. He was at his finest when he created a turnover.

Nobody find "holes" in the opponents' defense like he did. He saw the court like no one else did and always delivered great passes. He also led four times in assists. He was also arguably the top non big man rebounder of all time. He was terrific presence on the glass and he's got some nice stats to back that up too.

Additionally, Johnson was an excellent and crafty defender. He had little trouble with speedy point guards, but in fact he did well on defense against players of similar size. He did rebound nicely on the glass and was a fantastic presence on the passing lanes. He doesn't have two steals crowns for nothing.

However, Magic's all-around excellence is perhaps best noted because of the numbers he provided. Some say that it was because of him that the term "triple double" was invented in order to prove just how complete player was he out there.

He recorded 138 triple doubles for his entire career, that are ranked as the second highest total. But in the post season, he's the all time leader with 30 triple doubles, which is quite ahead of Kidd who's ranked at No.2 and has 11.

Amazing, isn't it? He came close actually to average a triple double in the 80's as evident by his averages in this season. 18.6 points, 9.6 rebounds and 9.5 assists in average. I have even more impressive fact.

In Game Six of the 1980 Finals, he played center to replace injured Kareem Abdul Jabbar and he poured in 42 points, grabbed 15 rebounds and dished out seven assists to lead LA to a title as a rookie and was awarded with a Finals MVP for his effort.

He was an outstanding all-around force out there. He even has a respectable case for the first spot, but i'd give that to another player though.

1.Oscar Robertson

A legendary point guard who had all of the needed things to be a force on the court and is the closest thing to a perfect player, Oscar Robertson is arguably the most complete player in the NBA History.

He was a physically gifted guard who had great strength, size, power, speed and so on. Also, Oscar was one of the most smartest men to play professional basketball. He was three levels ahead of his competition and always knew what was he doing.

He excelled in pretty much everything. Robertson was one of the top offensive forces of all time. He was one of the greatest passers to play the game. He was unselfish, led his team mates for the easy points and his court vision was good too.

Despite the lack of sharp shooting back courts and the way they counted assists (not like today), the Big O averaged over ten assists in the 60's and won seven assist titles! Also, he led seven times all in passing during the playoffs too.

Additionally, he was one of the best scorers of any time. He had nice offensive arsenal, no guard could post up like he did, had the most lethal mid range game and attacked the rim well. He was the the total package and even won a scoring crown.
