He won’t have the same perks and training table that he received at Vanderbilt, but Brandon Banks has another chance to play college football.

Banks has been accepted to play football at Lane College in Jackson.

Via the Tennessean:

Lane President Logan Hampton confirmed Banks’ enrollment at the Division II school on Monday night, but he said the defensive back is not on scholarship. Head coach Derrick Burroughs said Banks is on campus and will play football there.

According to Hampton, Lane’s chaplain also endorsed Banks’ admittance to the college, which is affiliated with the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church.

Banks will play while still facing an charges of raping an unconscious female student at Vanderbilt two years ago. The case is still awaiting a trial date.

Banks was indicted along with three other former Vanderbilt football players.
