Vancouver, CA—The BC Lions have announced today that they have signed import receivers, Otis Amey and Anthony Russo.

Amey looks to be one of the starting receivers, after having some NFL experience as an undrafted free agent with the San Francisco 49ers in 2005, and being a superstar at Sacramento State. Amey also brings in some AFL experience by playing for the Austin Wranglers and the Cleveland Gladiators.

Russo joins the Lions with some NFL experience, too, by playing for the Seattle Seahawks as an undrafted free agent last year. With the Seahawks, he also stayed close to home, too. How? Well he also played at the University of Washington (2004-2007) and in his senior season, he had 49 catches for 766 yards and five touchdowns. That earned him a Pac-Ten Honorable Mention.

With those two receivers in, two other receivers had to come out: Eric McCain and Dereck Faulkner.

I wish Faulkner and McCain luck.
