The search for the new head coach at Florida ended quickly with the hiring of Texas defensive coordinator Will Muschamp, who succeeds Urban Meyer.

The hire comes as a shock as the search process lasted less than a week. What we know for a fact is Urban Meyer was resigning for good this time with the reasons being unknown at this point.

Could the resignation from Florida have anything to do with the opening of the Denver Broncos job? Sounds like a coincidence to me.

Meyer stepped down as the Gators head coach the day Josh McDaniels was fired from the Broncos. Meyer endured a disappointing 7-5 season after being ranked in the preseason top five. Apparently Meyer learned quickly that his offense couldn't be as dynamic any more without a quarterback like Tebow.

With Tebow being selected by the Broncos in the 2010 draft, this could be the only opportunity for Meyer to reunite with his former quarterback.

Depending on what the Broncos front office is looking for, this can be a perfect match. I am certain that Denver management was cautious about the selection of Tebow, who is a project at the quarterback position right now.

Meyer is an offensive mind who knows how to bring the best out of Tebow. If there is a man who can make the Tebow project a success, it is Meyer.

I don't believe the reports that already say Meyer is not interested in the job. Broncos owner Pat Bowlen said he was not ready to make a coaching change a few weeks ago, and look what happened.

There are so many questions to be answered regarding who will be the new head coach of the Denver Broncos. But I have a gut feeling that Urban Meyer may be the one leading the charge come January.
