Florida Marlins pitcher, Leo Nunez, admitted faking his ID and using fake documents to sign a professional baseball contract a year ago. Nunez sworn that he is not the person identified in the documents.
Dominican authorities arrested Hector Pena Diaz, who helped Nunez with the false documents. Nunez returned to the Dominican Republic to admit what he had done wrong.

Nunez is actually Juan Carlos Oviedo and he is 29 years old, a year older listed on his fake ID.

The Florida Marlins have said they were aware of the issue for several months about their pitcher.
"It's the first time I had a, how should I say this, a guy playing with an alias," manager Jack McKeon said before Florida played the Milwaukee Brewers on Friday night. "I don't know what the circumstances are."

This is some really interesting news and we'll see what progresses as we go further into the week.
