Closer, Brad Lidge, has recently signed to the Washington Nationals via a one-year deal with $1 million.
Lidge was a strong part of the Philadelphia Phillies 2008 championship team, with 48 for 48 save chances that season.
The new contract also has incentives and he also joins former Philly teammate, Jayson Werth. Lidge is 26-31 with a 3.44 ERA and 233 saves in his ten-year career so far, as he has played with the Phillies and Astros.
We'll see how his career goes with his new team.
Best of luck.
