Matt Light has done all he can for the past eleven seasons as the New England Patriots' offensive tackle, bringing them several Super Bowls. After a loss to the New York Giants, rumors have piled up for the past months of him considering retirement.

According to Mike Reiss of ESPN Boston, Light is expected to retire. Light says he “appreciates the run he’s had” and likes the idea of “walking away when he still can.”

Light was a three-time Pro Bowler and protected Tom Brady's blind side tremendously. If the retirement is official, look for Nate Solder to replace him.
