Mohamed Sanu, wide receiver out of Rutgers, was looking to get picked in the middle-to-late part of the first round.

He almost got his wish, however it turned out to be a rude, disgusting prank.

The Cincinnati Bengals had the 27th pick and a man prank called Sanu saying Cincinnati was going to draft him. They ended up taking Kevin Zeitler, leaving Sanu in disappointment.

Reports Peter King of Sports Illustrated:
The Rutgers wide receiver was on the edge of his seat late in the first round, with the Bengals on the clock at No. 27, when his phone rang. The voice on the other end of the phone identified himself as being from the Bengals, and said Cincinnati was about to pick him. Sanu and those in his draft party exploded in excitement, and agent Mike McCartney even tweeted that Sanu was a Bengal. Then Cincinnati pick Zeitler.
Real awful of the man to do such a thing.

Sanu's agent, Mike McCartney, tweeted that the Bengals were going to draft him, but then added these two tweets after he found out it was a fake call:

Sanu was fine later, as he tweeted this morning:

Sanu shouldn't worry, because he'll be drafted today in the second round no matter what. Maybe the Bengals could draft him for sure this time.

Whatever team drafts the 23-year-old, they are going to have a great player with an amazing heart.
