I'm interested in seeing where  wide receiver Alshon Jeffery will end up. I’d be shocked if he is picked tonight in the first round of the 2012 NFL Draft. I wouldn’t mind seeing Jerry Jones and the Dallas Cowboys try to slide up and snag Jeffery if he is available anywhere from 38 to Pick 45 when the Dallas is scheduled to pick in the 2nd round.

Jeffery would help ease the loss of Laurent Robinson and allow for Jason Garrett to move Miles Austin and Dez Bryant around some. I do wonder if Jeffery regrets not returning to South Carolina for his senior season. He was projected by Mel Kiper at the beginning of the season as the best pro prospect in the South Eastern Conference. Rumors of weight issues and a poor work ethic all but overshadowed his All SEC and All America campaign.

I root for Jeffery and see him as a productive Marques Colston type receiver in the league.

How about the corner he dominated in the Capital One bowl game? Alfonzo Dennard was called a first round pick in that game as well. Now he’ll be lucky if he gets his named called before Day Two.
