The Orlando Magic have been through a rollercoaster of a week. It all started with head coach Stan Van Gundy calling out Dwight Howard during a press conference, confirming that the All-Star center wants him fired. However, it was announced today that they will play the season out and keep their differences between them.
Van Gundy knows that there is a possibility that he may not be coaching Orlando next season. However, as he tells the Orlando Sentinel, he wants to stay.
"I don't have a scenario in my head where I wouldn't," he said. "They're going to have to make decisions. But I'm a basketball coach and I know this: I don't want to go anywhere else. I mean, I love Orlando, and this is where I want to be. And I want to coach."
Hopefully, the Magic can make peace in the locker room and hopefully Howard and Van Gundy can get back to their normal ways next year.
