When Tyreke Evans was drafted by the Sacramento Kings, there was going to a be a lot of good things coming in for the franchise.

And it happened.

Evans had a solid rookie campaign and ended up being 2010's Rookie of the Year. However, since then, Evans has slipped a bit and it's unsure if he will truly be part of the team's future.

Sacramento currently holds the fifth pick of the draft, looking to either trade up and get at Bradley Beal or Harrison Barnes, or stay where they are at and get a guy like Thomas Robinson or Andre Drummond.

The Kings are already pretty much full with their wing players and it's unsure of the multi-talented guard in Evans fits. Even if they do work it out with him in the team's system, will they be able to re-sign him?

Evans will obviously be seeing a pretty high-salary judged off his talent, but according to the Sacramento Bee, they will wait and see on what to do with him.

Don't be surprised if Evans is still with the team by training camp or by the trade deadline. Or even the whole season next year!

However, if Sacramento knows they won't be sticking with him, they'll most likely trade him during draft-day. And in my opinion, I think that's what's going to happen. I know damn well the Maloofs aren't gonna re-sign him, as they don't have the money to do so.

With that, the Kings will probably move up in the draft and package the fifth pick with Evans to get a quality player and a lottery pick.

We'll see what happens.

As for Evans, it'd be best for him to head on to a new team where he is better needed and fitted into a system for his needs.
