Hernandez received the injury while blocking for wide receiver Julian Edelman on a screen pass in the first quarter. Hernandez would injure his ankle as he fell to the ground.
Hernandez went to the locker room with help of the assistants.
The 22-year-old recently signed to an extension and looks to make an impact like he did last year this season with the Patriots.
