Ray Allen 2013 NBA Finals Game 6The Miami Heat defeated the San Antonio Spurs, 103-100, in overtime of an epic Game 6 of the 2013 NBA Finals.

Down by 10 points heading into the fourth quarter, LeBron James realized it was time to put the team on his back and carry the Heat to victory. James got fouled early in the fourth, and on the play, he lost his headband.

This seemed to ignite the King as he went off right after that. Will we see the headband in Game 7? Who knows.

LeBron ended the night with 32 points, 10 rebounds, 11 assists, 3 steals, and 1 block. Tim Duncan led the Spurs offensive attack, scoring 30 points (25 in the first half) and grabbing 17 rebounds.

Here are some of the key plays late in the game.

  • Down by 5 points with less than 30 seconds left, James hit a 3-pointer from the left wing to cut the lead to two.

  • Mike Miller fouled Kawhi Leonard on the ensuing inbounds pass.

  • Leonard missed the first free throw, but made the second.

  • 17 seconds left, San Antonio up by three. Mario Chalmers dribbles the ball up the left wing, and then passes to LeBron for a three-pointer from the same area as the one he hit just seconds ago. Miss.

  • Chris Bosh grabs the offensive rebound and kicks it out to Ray Allen, who steps back and knocks down the three-pointer from the right corner.

  • The refs reviewed the play to make sure it was a three-pointer, and it was.

  • 5.2 seconds remaining, Tony Parker takes the inbounds pass from underneath his own bucket, drives the length of the court and misses a one-footed, fadeaway from the left side of the court. Overtime.

  • Both teams traded buckets for the first three minutes of overtime.

  • Heat up by one point, Spurs ball. Parker gets a mismatch with Bosh. Attempts a step back jumper, Bosh blocks it.

  • Ray Allen makes two free throws, Heat up by three.

  • 1.9 seconds left, Spurs inbounding the ball. They throw a cross court pass to Danny Green in the corner. Shot goes up, but Bosh is there to block it.

Other highlights from the game:

Kawhi Leonard threw down a sick dunk on Mike Miller.

Miller loses his shoe on the defensive end of the court, but comes down and hits a 3 on the next possession with one shoe on.

Game 7 will be on Thursday night at 9 p.m. in Miami.
