Buffalo Bills quarterback Kevin Kolb just can not catch a break.

After injuries ruined his stints with the Philadelphia Eagles and the Arizona Cardinals, the Bills new QB was hoping to resurrect his career in Buffalo.

It was all going well for Kolb, until he slipped (did not fall) on a wet rubber mat while running to a different field during practice earlier today and injured his knee.

According to the Associated Press, Kolb stumbled awkwardly and needed help from the Bills trainer to make it off the field. Kolb then slammed his helmet on the ground before sitting out for the rest of practice.

New Bills head coach Doug Marrone said the injury isn’t very serious though, and expects Kolb to return to practice in a few days.

Kolb is currently in a quarterback battle with rookie E.J. Manuel for the starting job, and Marrone says the battle resume once Kolb returns.

Although it's not certain who's leading the QB battle, there is one thing we know: the mats at Bills training camp will be dried off way more often from now on.
