It took new Philadelphia 76ers general manager Sam Hinkie almost a year, but he finally has decided on his man.

Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports is reporting that the Sixers have offered their head coaching job to San Antonio Spurs assistant coach Brett Brown.

Wojnarowski adds that the two sides are negotiating a contract as we speak.
For the past seven years, Brown has been a bench assistant coach under Gregg Popovich with San Antonio. He joined the Spurs for a second time in 2001.
