Shabazz Muhammad better shape up really quick, or he could get the wake up call he needs that he won’t enjoy one bit.
Many people thought Muhammad was a steal for the Minnesota Timberwolves when he slid down in the draft and fell into their lap. Muhammad hasn’t done much to justify being a lottery pick.
He struggled badly during the NBA’s summer league, and was recently kicked out of the NBA’s Rookie Program for having a woman in his room.
Now, according to the Jerry Zgoda of the Star-Tribune, new Timberwolves general manager Flip Saunders has stated that a trip to the D-League could serve as Muhammad’s punishment if he doesn’t get his act together. The jig is up. Muhammad needs to act accordingly and straighten up his act now.
