Jeremy-Ross-Fumble-Packers-Bengals-September-2013
When you’re a fringe player in the NFL, the career lifespan depends on your ability to make plays — not mistakes.

Jeremy Ross is learning that the hard way today. ESPN.com is reporting that the Green Bay Packers have released wide receiver Jeremy Ross after his first quarter fumble against the Cincinnati Bengals last Sunday.

Packers head coach Mike McCarthy is possibly wanting to send a message to his team by sacrificing the young wide receiver.

The Packers continued to let Ross return kicks kick and get reps on offense after he fumbled a kickoff early in Sunday’s 34-30 loss at Cincinnati. It was Ross’ second botch return in the last four games dating back to last season.

Aaron Rodgers curses Mike McCarthy out, McCarthy fires a 4th string receiver.
