Christian-Ponder-November-2013
Christian Ponder left Thursday night’s win against the Washington Redskins in the third quarter, and did not return after suffering a left shoulder injury.

Minnesota Vikings head coach Leslie Frazier said after the game that Ponder had suffered a dislocated left shoulder on the play that forced him from the game. Despite the injury, Ponder said he’s planning to play next week against the Seattle Seahawks.

“My expectation is to be back next week,” Ponder said. “We have a great training staff.”

Frazier told the media afterwards that there’s no timetable yet for Ponder, and he will undergo further tests to determine the full extent of the injury. Ponder has the benefit of getting 10 days to rest and heal before their next ballgame.

The 25-year-old Ponder has thrown for 1,246 yards, five touchdowns and seven interceptions, has completed 64.2 percent of his passes and has a 77.6 quarterback rating so far on the season.
