We haven't seen the Air Jordan 5 "Laney" release in a looong time, but it's finally back as it was released on Saturday morning. The colorway pays tribute to Michael Jordan's high school basketball team, with its royal blue and yellow colors.

Though many rather would not prefer to cop the Laney Buccaneers gear (I'm not digging it), this goes well with a lot of other apparel. It's the perfect sneaker for any Indiana Pacers or San Diego Chargers fan. The colors of the shoe fit perfectly.

I was able to cop a pair this morning. I'm surprised it didn't sell out as fast as it should have. It has happened to a lot of the OG Jordan retro colorways this year, such as the Fire Red 3s, Playoffs 8s and Grape 5s. Then again, it could be because these colorways may have had more produced pairs, which likely means why the Toro Bravo and Green Glow 4s sold out quicker since their quantities were less.

Nonetheless, I wish more releases turn out like this. Everyone should be able to have a fair chances of copping, just like this morning. Had it been something like a Yeezy or Foamposite release, the story would have been much different.

It's a great colorway. Definitely was a must-cop for myself.
