Before this post, most people were probably unaware that there was a thing called Rutger-Camden. Less people knew they had a soccer team, and a good one at that.While the team was good enough to reach the semifinals for the DIII Men’s Championship, they would need some luck to reach the finals. They got their luck, all 75 yards of it.
Keegan Bale of Rutgers-Camden launched a free kick into the box, hoping to give his teammates a chance to head the ball in the net. He wound up scoring a 75-yard goal that would send his team to the championship.
