Screen Shot 2014-01-09 at 3.51.19 PMJulius Randle, at one point, was in serious discussion for being the No. 1 overall pick of the 2014 NBA Draft over guys like Andrew Wiggins and Jabari Parker.

Now, it looks like Kentucky forward's chances of being the top pick of next summer's draft is slim-to-none.

Randle draft stock has slipped slightly, but he is still a top 5 prospect, according to ESPN's Chad Ford. Ford discussed about the fact that Randle has been lacking in steals this season.
I've had a number of teams point this out to me. Very strange and you're right, the advanced metrics guys are all a bit concerned about it. NBA teams still like Randle, a lot, but I haven't really heard a team (GM or scout) say they'd take him No. 1 in over a month

Randle is currently ranked as the No. 4 prospect in the NBA Draft rankings by Ford, being behind Wiggins, Parker and Joel Embiid.

Randle is still playing solid this year, averaging about 17 points and 11 rebounds per game.
