Michigan State will be without starting forward Branden Dawson for the next four-to-five weeks, according to ESPN. The Spartans announced today that Dawson suffered a broken bone injury in his right hand.

Dawson broke his hand during a film session today, as he slammed his hand on the table in frustration. He'll be having surgery tonight.

"I'll be fine," he said. "I was out with an ACL injury [freshman] year, and I came back from it."

Dawson, a 6-foot-6 junior, has played a big part for No. 3 Michigan State this season, averaging about 10 points and nine rebounds per game. The Spartans are currently 18-1 on the season.
