Former Denver Broncos running back Knowshon Moreno is heading down south to warmer climates, as he has agreed to a one-year, $3 million contract with the Miami Dolphins, according to ESPN.

Moreno, 26, was drafted by Denver as the 12th overall pick of the 2009 NFL Draft. He was initially considered a bust after his first few years were filled with injuries and disappointment.

However, Moreno rebounded big time this year and had his best season with 1,038 rushing yards along with 60 catches for 548 receiving yards. He had a total of 13 touchdowns in the 2013 NFL season.

Moreno looks to do big things in the backfield, creating a solid running back rotation with with Lamar Miller and Daniel Thomas on the 'Fins. The Dolphins definitely could use Moreno, as their running game ranked 26th in the league last season.

The major concern for Miami will be Moreno's health, so hopefully he can pan out in South Beach like he did in Denver last year.
