brandon browner 2014

The New England Patriots want to shore up their secondary. After already adding Darrelle Revis, the Pats added another quality cornerback in former Seattle Seahawks defensive back Brandon Browner.

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Patriots have signed Browner to a two-year contract. In addition to that, though, Browner will still have to serve a four-game suspension for abusing the NFL's substance-abuse policy.

Browner was congratulated by former teammate Richard Sherman, who was just coming off a Twitter fight with DeAngelo Hall:

Browner, who will be 30 once the 2014 season begins, joined the league in 2011. He had his best season that year with 54 tackles and six interceptions. He had three picks the next season and one last year, but then again he only played in eight games until he ended up getting suspended by the NFL.

Browner will be a force to be reckoned with next season, being that he is a 6-foot-4, 220-pound defensive back. The Patriots are definitely going to utilize that size well in their secondary, and it will most likely help Darrelle Revis a lot as well.
