Oklahoma City Thunder big man Serge Ibaka is no stranger to blocking shots. Ibaka is always at the top of the NBA when regarding shot blockers, as he is averaging 2.6 of them per game. Ibaka is going to put that skill to good use with UNICEF.
Per the Oklahoman, Ibaka will be donating $500 to UNICEF for every shot he blocks in the upcoming 2014 NBA Playoffs.
"The Thunder’s defensive whiz is pledging $500 for every shot he blocks in the NBA Playoffs, with the money going to the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF)," the report writes.
Ibaka should have no trouble getting blocks in the postseason. He had 33 blocks in last year's playoffs and 59 total during OKC's run to the NBA Finals in 2012.
If Ibaka gets around in the middle of that with 45 blocks, that's $22,500 being donated right there. Props to Ibaka for helping the world.
