The Indiana Pacers were finally put of their misery on Friday night when getting ousted by the Miami Heat in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals. Now they have big decisions to make this offseason, and it starts at the top with the coaching staff and head coach Frank Vogel in particular.

For the past 24 hours, many are wondering if Vogel will stay as the team's head coach. There are many Pacers fans who are in favor of firing Vogel and another majority wanting him to stay. Reports came out that Indiana would hire Mark Jackson if Vogel were to be fired.

However, Yahoo Sports has quieted all that on Saturday after reporting that Vogel will remain as the Pacers head coach for the 2014-15 NBA regular season. Despite the late-season slide and struggles in the postseason, president Larry Bird and general manager Kevin Pritchard still believe in Vogel.

Vogel has done a solid job as the team's head coach. He's led Indiana to two straight Eastern Conference Finals appearances. It's not all his fault that they are going against what Vogel calls "the Chicago Bulls of our era" led by a player that is "the Michael Jordan of our era."

Indiana just needs to keep working at it. The Heat are hard to beat, and that's why they've gone to the NBA Finals for four straight years already.
