Minnesota Timberwolves owner Glen Taylor on Monday that he has no intention of trading star power forward Kevin Love despite his intentions of bolting via free agency.

“I should never say never because who knows what might come up? But that’s not our plan,” Taylor said, via the Pioneer Press.

“I’m not in a position where you would say absolutely I wouldn’t do it, because what if something that I can’t even speculate [on] happens? You’d say, ‘You’re nuts, Glen.’ Maybe some team puts a value on him that’s different than we suspect.”

Taylor’s comment came in the midst of reports that Love has made it clear he won’t re-sign with the Timberwolves as a free agent, and would like to be traded before the regular season starts.
Sources told ESPN.com that the Golden State Warriors and Chicago Bulls are among the potential trade destinations that intrigue Love.

The Los Angeles Lakers, New York Knicks, Phoenix Suns and Boston Celtics also have been mentioned as landing spots.
