Carmelo Anthony July 2014

After meeting with the Chicago Bulls all day on Tuesday for the first day of NBA free agency, Carmelo Anthony took himself to Texas to meet with the Houston Rockets and Dallas Mavericks. He met with Houston first.

Anthony reportedly hung out with the Rockets for four hours, where they greeted him with banners like the Bulls did. It showed Melo in a Rockets' No. 7 jersey, which made Jeremy Lin feel some type of way.

Here's all that went down and who met with Anthony during his meeting with Houston:

Carmelo pulled into Toyota Center in a stretch limo where the Rockets contingent of owner Les Alexander, general manager Daryl Morey, head coach Kevin Michale, current All-Stars Dwight Howard and James Harden, and Hall-of-Famer Clyde Drexler awaited.

After about two hours of seeing the Rockets’ facilities, talks and presentations, Anthony and the Rockets group headed to lunch at an undisclosed location in Houston. That session broke up a little after 3 p.m., giving Anthony about four hours with the Rockets.

Anthony will now visit with the Mavs.
