It looks like the Tennessee Titans have seen enough of Charlie Whitehurst, and will go ahead and start rookie Zach Mettenberger at quarterback.
Mettenberger was given the starting nod today by the Titans at quarterback, as Tennessee will face the Houston Texans for Week 8, according to ESPN.
Whitehurst led the Titans to one win and two losses. He wasn't bad, but it looks like the Titans want to see how good Mettenberger is as he could be the future for the team at QB. The team had plans earlier to start Mettenberger.
The team has dealt with injuries to starting quarterback Jake Locker, who has missed the past two games with a thumb injury. Locker has been dealing with injuries ever since entering the NFL.
We'll see if Mettenberger, the rookie out of LSU, can lead the 2-5 Titans to a victory over the 3-4 Texans this week.
