It looks like the Denver Broncos won't be trying to re-sign tight end Julius Thomas and wide receiver Demaryius Thomas in-season, even though both players will become free agents after this season.
According to ESPN, Denver will wait until the offseason to make a move on both of the Thomases.
Denver has the ability to use a contract extension one of the players while placing a franchise tag on the other. It's very likely that Demaryius will get the new contract while Julius will receive the franchise tag.
With neither sides close to a deal with the franchise, the Broncos will be placed with a tough task this offseason regarding their offensive weapons. This would likely mean the team lets go of Wes Welker, whose contract expires after this season.
We'll see how Denver will handle all of this once the season ends.
