George Hill October 2014

As an Indiana Pacers fan, it's going to be rough watching my team suffer. Unless if they can pull off what the Chicago Bulls did these past two seasons when they were without Derrick Rose, I don't have many high expectations for this squad in the 2014-15 NBA season.

It gets even worse for Indiana due to the fact that they'll be out with not one, not two, but three of their starters for the season opener ... and then some. It's four when you count Paul George, who is likely out for the year after suffering a leg injury.

According to CBS Sports, Indiana will open up the season without point guard George Hill, guard CJ Watson and power forward David West. Hill is out for three weeks with a knee contusion, West three games with a sprained ankle and Watson two weeks with a bruised foot.

Who knows who'll be the primary scoring option for Indiana to open out, since it was believed it was going to be West. We'll see how Roy Hibbert, CJ Miles, Rodney Stuckey and company roll out. Luis Scola could also be another dude to watch.

Best of luck to my Pacers either way.
