Former TCU defensive end Devonte Fields will be getting a second chance at his college football career, as he recently committed to play for the Louisville Cardinals.

Fields made his official visit to Louisville on Sunday, leading to his decision.
According to ESPN, he will officially sign on Wednesday, enroll in the summer and have two years of eligibility remaining.
He was currently attending Trinity Valley Community College, and was ranked at the top among junior college recruits.
Fields, the 6-foot-3, 250-pound pass-rusher, was the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year when he was a true freshman at TCU.
He was a prime candidate for winning it again in 2014, but was dismissed from the team in August due to allegations that he assaulted his ex-girlfriend. That issue has yet to be resolved.
Fields did ball out at Trinity Valley, though, having 6.5 sacks and 61 tackles, as the team went on to go 12-0 on the season.
Best of luck to Fields next season in Louisville.
