Besides Peyton Manning, star wide receiver Demaryius Thomas remains the top priority for the Denver Broncos this offseason.
Broncos general manager John Elway told the media on Thursday that Thomas will in fact be franchise-tagged if no deal is able to be reached within the next coming days.
"If we can't get something done, yeah, we'll tag Demaryius,'' Elway said, via ESPN. "Our goal is to get something done with Demaryius ... that market is changing, that wide receiver market is changing, too, but the bottom line is we want Demaryius to be a Bronco.''
Free agency begins on March 10th, with many teams looking to add Thomas to their squad. The New York Jets seem like the No. 1 team to get Thomas, besides the Broncos of course.
Expect Demaryius to be in orange-and-blue next season, and with Peyton probably, too.
