Stephen Curry is the reigning MVP and will be in the lower half of paid stars this year in the NBA, but he’s still not looking forward to free agency.

Curry isn’t even concerned with leaving the Warriors at this point, and he explained why to the Sporting News.

“As I am thinking right now, free agency isn’t really appealing to me because I love where I’m at, love the organization I’m playing for, and the Bay Area is home for me and my family. It helps being world champs and you want to continue to build the momentum that we’ve established and I hope to have a huge part of that in the long term.”

Curry will own $11.3 million this upcoming season.

While the 2014-15 MVP is saying all the right things at this point and time, the Charlotte Hornets will eventually come calling, and the love of Carolina may be too much for Curry to pass up.
