The Pro Football Hall of Fame welcomed eight new members on Saturday night, and Minnesota Vikings star running back Adrian Peterson thinks he’s already accomplished enough at this point in his career to get the gold jacket as well.

“I’m going to be blunt and honest with you. I feel like if I didn’t play another snap in my life, I got the opportunity to go in the Hall of Fame right now,” Peterson told the Star Tribune.

Peterson is past becoming a member of the Hall, and has his sights set on being the best ever.

“Not just the greatest running back,” he points out. “The greatest player.”

Peterson will have to leap over names like Emmitt Smith and Jim Brown just to be considered the best ever at his position.
