Nick Saban is one of the greatest, if not the greatest college football coach ever. With how dominant he's made the Alabama Crimson Tide, it is always surprising to see how much of a disappointment he turned out be on the NFL level with the Miami Dolphins.
His tenure will continue to look worse if this allegation from a former player is true. According to former pro wideout P.K. Sam, Saban once cut him for going home to see his dying father one last time.

Sam was reportedly cut from the Dolphins practice squad, re-signed at the end of the season and then cut again at training camp the following season. His career ended in 2007 after stints with the New England Patriots, Cincinnati Bengals and Oakland Raiders.
